THE CHALLENGE

Set to take place in San Gogornio, California. GustoGreen’s visual identity posed a fascinating challenge for me because of the nature of wind itself–no fixed shape or form. I used this as a leverage to utilize artificial intelligence to imagine what wind would look and feel like. The result were these patterns and waves of temperature, movement, and texture.

STORY & IDENTITY

“When I was younger, my family would take cross crountry trips to Arizona from California, passing by the site. I remember the elders would refer to them as “the wind turbines” but not San Gogornio, it was indication that we were getting close to the state borders, an telling sign of where I was.”

Mirroring that feel with this identity, the goal of GustoGreen was not just to educate, it was also to connect humans with the energy we surround ourselves with, even if they don’t take physical forms like wind energy. Thus, although the printed goods take a futuristic and educational, the visual strategy overall stayed nostalgic and welcoming.
