VALORANT is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games.
I had the opportunity to work on an exciting year-end project with Riot Games and Valorant, where we were tasked with creating a global recap experience for players.
Our mission was to celebrate each player's unique 2024 journey through personalized persona cards—custom-designed badges that highlighted their individual achievements and playstyle. It was a collaborative effort to craft something visually engaging and meaningful, giving the community a fun and shareable way to look back on their year in Valorant. SCOPEThe aim was to deliver a standout end-of-year moment for Valorant players by transforming their in-game activity into a personalized celebration. At the heart of the experience was the persona card—a custom design that brought together gameplay stats, player behavior, and the bold aesthetic of Valorant. It wasn’t just a summary; it was a narrative-driven experience that encouraged players to relive their highlights, recognize their progress, and proudly share their story with the community!
DIGITAL PUBLISHINGOur process began with sketching out wireframes to shape how players would interact with their year-end content. Centered around core features like stat breakdowns, persona creation, and future-facing recommendations, we designed an experience that seamlessly wove Valorant’s world into the interface. Drawing from in-game visuals and the act brand toolkit, we ensured the final product felt immersive, cohesive, and unmistakably Valorant.
